It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Paul Zimmer, from the practice of law and from his long-standing affiliation with LaPointe & Butler, P.C., effective January 18, 2013.  Paul came to us in January 1998 after a distinguished career as an Assistant Attorney General with the Michigan Attorney General’s office.  We asked him to join the firm for at least five years and we and our clients have been the fortunate recipients of his wisdom, wit and faithful service for a rewarding fifteen years.  We are happy for Paul and his wife Jamie to have more time to spend with family and friends and to pursue their love of travel, but he will be sorely missed by all of us at the firm and in the field of special education administration.

If you wish to send best wishes to Paul on his retirement you may contact him by mail at 11324 Flintrock Drive, Grand Ledge MI 48837, or send him an email at
The firm will be feting Paul and Jamie at the firm’s annual Retainer Workshop at the Royal Scot golf course in Lansing on April 23, 2013.  Put this date on your calendar and join us as we celebrate our shared time with this very special gentleman.
